Before you renew

  • Check the renewal price in your account, not the advertised first-year price.
  • Ask whether you need it at all: Microsoft Defender is built into Windows.
  • Turning off auto-renewal usually keeps protection until the paid period ends.
  • Keep the cancellation confirmation email.
