Privacy policy
1. Controller
Progressive Media GmbH, Gut Schmalzhof 1b G3, 82343 Pöcking, Germany. Email: info@computergripes.com
2. Hosting and server logs
When you visit this site, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data in server log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This keeps the site secure and stable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted automatically after a short period.
3. Cookies, analytics and third parties
This site sets no cookies for visitors, uses no analytics or tracking tools and shows no ads. Fonts are served from our own server; no connection is made to Google Fonts or other third parties. WordPress only sets technically necessary cookies when someone logs in to the admin area.
4. Report form and email
If you contact us through the “Report a gripe” form or by email, we process your details (description and, optionally, product, name and email address) only to handle your report and reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The details are sent to us by email and deleted once they are no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them. To prevent abuse, a hashed form of your IP address is stored for one minute.
4a. Gripe wall, “Did this fix it?” and tools
If you explicitly agree in the report form, we publish your problem description on the gripe wall after review, without your email address and with your first name at most (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, revocable at any time). Clicks on “Did this fix it?” and “Me too” are only counted as anonymous totals; to stop repeat clicks we keep a non-reversible hash of the IP address for 24 hours. The scam check and renewal reminder run entirely in your browser; nothing you enter is sent to us. For the status page our server queries public status sources from Microsoft and Google; no visitor data is passed on.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Contact us at the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
6. Updates
Last updated: October 2026. We update this policy when the site or the law changes.
