From my CNET Blot
January 6, 2008: Black eyes for Adobe.
I reported a bug to them and never heard back. I reported the problem to their PR people and never heard
back. There is a new wrinkle to the problem of un-installing the Flash player in Firefox and not having it
actually be removed. Poor communication about the need to upgrade the Flash player and how to do so.
Adobe also seems to be spying on users of their CS3 software and being sneaky about it,
using a computer name that looks like a safe IP address.
December 22, 2007: Problems updating the Flash player in Firefox? Here's Help. What should have been easy turned into a nightmare. If you can't get Firefox to use the latest version of Flash, read this. It took a while, but I figured out the problem.
December 21, 2007: Update your copy of the Flash
player now. And do it the right way. There are multiple critical bug fixes that need to be applied to the Flash Player on Windows, Mac and Linux machines. The update needs to be applied separately to IE and Firefox and be sure to remove the older version first.
